How to (correctly) choose your concealer?
To choose your concealer well, you must first determine the colour of your dark circles.
If they are more blueish, that is to say when the veins are visible, it is advisable to opt for a shade with pink undertones in order to neutralise the blue.
To cover brown dark circles, you must use orange undertones.
For purplish dark circles, it is the yellow undertones that work miracles.
Because the skin is thin and delicate in this area, opt for a hydrating concealer, half a tone lighter than your complexion.
Applying concealer: the 3-step method to rejuvenate your eyes
In a video posted on her Instagram account, makeup artist Mary Phillips reveals her tip for applying concealer like a pro: a technique she callsthe 3-point method.
The principle? Place three dots of concealer: one on the outer corner of the nose, one on the inner corner of the eye and one on the outer corner of the eye. She then delicately blends the triangle formed together.
The result is amazing. The eyes instantly appear fresher and more awake. The idea here is not to simply apply the concealer directly on the dark circles. Such a 'paste' risks accentuating them. She says: 'It is not necessary to use a lot of product.'
Rather, it's about illuminating and correcting the entire area under the eye, from the outer corner of the nose to the temple, in order to obtain a lifting and luminous effect.
As for products, Mary Phillips favors full-coverage concealers.

Opt for a concealer that is both corrective and illuminating
Toreplicate this technique, opt for a concealer that is both a corrector and a highlighter.
If possible, choose a formula enriched with moisturising and smoothing active ingredients to avoid showing fine lines and other signs of fatigue.
For optimal, yet natural coverage, take a slightly damp sponge (it will prevent the product from being absorbed too much) and tap to blend the product.
Another option: apply the concealer with your fingertips, smoothing out fine lines. Finally, set the product with an ultra-fine loose powder, applied using a soft-bristled brush. The gesture is simple, but the effect is… wow!
