Job Summary
Supervises Distribution Operations (DO) Performance Center personnel and leads collaborative efforts with DO business groups and vendors. Plans, implements, and oversees activities regarding distribution reliability metrics and analysis, as well as special assignments. Leads and manages the communications to DO leadership related to reports/special assignments. Leads and participates in operational technology strategy development and implementation.
Key Accountabilities
- Leads a team responsible for querying and analyzing data using statistical and computer software or other analytical tools, such as PowerBI, SPSS, SAS, R, Python, in raw and aggregate forms.
- Supports distribution operation reliability and restoration strategy.
- Leads strategy development using advanced meter installation (AMI) data for reliability performance management.
- Leads the effort to create and enhance dashboards/reports for business and operation teams.
- Ensures business scorecards are accurate and on time.
- Manages data analysis projects including customer’s experiencing multiple interruptions (CEMI), restoration estimate accuracy, outage information (cause, crew status, etc.) to reduce customer concerns.
- Conducts data analysis and forecasts reliability performance.
- Leads cross-functional project teams, including IT to create data platform analytics using Netezza systems.
- Works with all distribution business groups in developing process standardization and uniformity related to reliability metrics.
- Leads the continuous improvement commitment and efforts: designing processes; establishing quality/quantity standards and metrics; collecting, refining, adapting and communicating best practices; sharing knowledge and developing staff in a systematic fashion. Uses process design outcomes to solve problems.
- Performs or ensures the accomplishment of the following core supervisory/management functions for the group: planning, organizing, directing the performance of ongoing activities and special assignments, staffing (employee selection, training/coaching and performance management), time-entry, coordinating, reporting and budgeting.
Minimum Education & Experience Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and (5) five years of job-related experience, inclusive of two yearsexperiencein leadingprojects orlead worker level responsibilities.
