Martine McCutcheon recently expressed her heartfelt emotions for her husband, Jack McManus.
Just a few days before announcing their split on social media, the actress shared an adoring tribute for Jack's 40th birthday. Much to the surprise of some of her 600,000 followers, the caption in her post was considerably lengthier than the statement about their separation, , reports the Mirror.
In what turned out to be a puzzling 400-word dedication for her other half's milestone birthday, she also touched on the sensitive subject of his dad's recent passing. In her heartfelt words, Martine expressed: "You know I love you unconditionally and I just wish I could make it all better," addressing him affectionately as "Darling Jack".

The expansive birthday note opened with: "Darling Jack, Happy 40th Birthday Darling. I know it's a weird one and bittersweet as you have lost your Darling Dad, Mick and he was your best friend... It's so hard to see you miss someone so much. But you know when I lost my brother that I understand your grief and pain - And I also know that in time, You will value the gift of even having him be such a major role in your life and that he will be with you always. Nothing will ever take that away... You will appreciate the gift of life and those you love even more! I know Mick was and is SO proud of you!
"It's been a tough time for a long time but Mick has passed on to you, the resilience, strength and grace that you will need to not just survive but thrive in your life. I have no doubt you will show him that you took it all on board. I think you show your children how to "Do life" not so much by what you say but by what you actually do and act through the good, bad and all that's in between and I know that Rafferty is a source of strength and comfort to you and is so excited to have you be his guide and make magical memories together!

Martine went on, as reports the Mirror: "You are only just 40 and have already achieved so many dreams! I hope you feel the love around you today and know, that despite it all, you have the most amazing and rewarding next chapter coming your way! Now, deep breath, let's have some fun with our boy."
One follower responded to the public post, suggesting: "Probably would have been best to text him personally rather than splash it all over Insta for likes."
However, not everyone shared this sentiment, with another commenting: "Happy Birthday Jack....beautiful family and pictures...I have no doubt your your Dad is beaming with pride from the sky at how awesome your family is.."
After an 18-year relationship, the actress announced their split to her 600,000 Instagram followers earlier today (August 22). She posted another lengthy statement on her social media page, with the 48 year old squarely placing the blame on her spouse for the break up.
The couple first crossed paths in the early 2000s and welcomed their son Rafferty in 2015. Now aged nine, Martine stated that their child's welfare remains the couple's "number one priority", but insisted that it was Jack's decision for them to part ways.
